FROM ONE RANCH TO ONE FAMILY

HOW IT STARTED

Rocky Mountain Pathways Ranch is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping teens grow and develop socially and emotionally.

Our program accomplishes this by creating a supportive and challenging environment that pushes students out of their comfort zones, and encourages them to try new experiences. We then ask the students to reflect on their experiences at the ranch, and we work to instill tools and values that help them carry the lessons learned here back home with them.

Sept 2010

Our Rocky Mountain Pathways Ranch located on 56 acres bordering the Roosevelt National Forest in Colorado was purchased.

Sept 2010

RMPR started our first ever program with our partner school Opportunities for Learning and developed a full curriculum.

Dec 2019

RMPR launched our first ever Winter Adventure Camp with outdoor snow sports such as snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing, and more!

Today

Our ranch continues to produce exemplary experiential learning programs for 1,000+ students every year.

LEARNING TARGETS

Self Discovery

I will explore my past to put me on a path of self discovery to understand who I am and how to become the person I want to be.

VULNERABILITY

I will be vulnerable in order to step outside of my comfort zone to improve my ability to manage and cope with all of my emotions.

CONNECTION

I will make a personal contract to remind me of my self worth and commitment to my future.

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING

“Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life.”

At RMPR, we promote student success based on the whole person.  Our programs are based on these theories and strategies to help students be successful at school, at home, and beyond.
